Time Share Magazine: The Advertisement You May or May Not Want to Read
The only good part of going to the doctor's office is the magazine selection, and even then it isn't really that great some of the times. If you've accidentally picked up a travel magazine, and then found out that it is really a time share magazine, trying to sell you a vacation every year for the next 45 years, you're not the first.
These time share magazines are sometimes really slick, because you may not even notice that you are reading something that is 100 pages thick that is entirely an advertisement. Instead, you get cabin fever because you see all these beautiful locations, fun activities to do and freedom from work.
Time share magazines are put out by most of the larger time share companies, and if you are looking for vacation ideas (that aren't time share related), these are a great place to start. Time share magazines are given to all the owners of time shares and people who are interested in time shares so they have a lot of great information.
Don't read them if you think that you might be tricked into getting a time share. Many people don't realize that these are advertisements to get people excited about the time share they own (or buying a new one). If you lose sight of the fact that you can go on one of these vacations without buying a time share, you are going to be a couple of thousand dollars in the hole before you even can consider going on a vacation.
The next time you are in the doctor's office, resist the urge to pick up a travel magazine that is really a time share magazine. Finding a great vacation will be easier if you don't have to plan around time share weeks or points. While waiting for your name to be called, read a tabloid or trade journal instead.
