Travel Trend Alert: Cruise Time Share Vacation

You went on a cruise a couple of months ago, and now you can't get your telephone to stop ringing. Salesmen are calling every night of the week, trying to get you excited about one of the latest vacation ideas: cruise time share deals.

You may not have heard about cruise time share vacations before - like I said, they are relatively new, and they haven't really gotten into the mainstream vacation plan yet. Once they do, I can really see them taking off, because once people go on a cruise, they often want to go on more and more.

So what are cruise time share vacations? Well, they are like traditional time shares, because you have one week of vacation every year. Instead of spending it in a hotel or an apartment like you normally would, you are going to spend it at sea. You choose your ship, where you go and what type of cabin you have based on the amount of points that you have accumulated. Theoretically, you can take a seven day cruise every year, and longer cruises are possible if you buy more points or save them up.

Let's say that you don't want to go on a cruise one year, well with most cruise time share plans, there is a provision that will let you choose a land-based destination with little or no extra surcharge. So, maybe you love cruises, but your partner doesn't; it won't be the end of the world to choose a cruise time share.

Those who love cruises say that they don't ever want to take another vacation again. A cruise time share vacation is one way to guarantee that you will come back year after year for a cruise. I can definitely see this time share trend growing in the near future.
